KaiStagon's WIP thread :)
Hello! Glad to see the mapping community continues after map craft. This is my (imageheavy) thread for a map I've been working on for a while. I just don't have a lot of free time to do any mapping, so updates may be few and far between.

Wow, very cool! Just don't ruin it with bad lighting.
Wish I could map stuff that looks that good.

And that's bad because...? I guess that's a MB3 image (looks nice!) and you feel like being copied? Doesn't look too similar to me, but if it's really a copy I can see how its inferior to original content.

Yes! Where did you find that? A friend sent me an image from that WIP (from a different angle, looks like the same hallway) a year or so ago and I could never track down what it was from. A lot of sci-fi maps really fail at incorporating plants with hard metal, but that WIP really worked for me. I'll be sure to modify what I have so I don't look like a knock-off artist. If I could find out where that WIP came from (and the author's name) I'd also like to cite it in my readme as a reference/inspiration photo. As for the command center, that was actually from a flying saucer design on (I think) a UDK WIP. I'll see if I can track that one down as well.
I should also add that my ebon hawk is tweaked from the prefab available at jk2files: http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/K ... fab;107755 Apart from the obvious color change, I also stretched out the shaft housing the control deck, widened the ship, and replaced the guns on top and sides. It's a really great prefab that didn't require much work to fix up.
@Acrobat: Khan and I have been on and off working on a "map based on a cartoon show" which I don't think he wants revealed yet. I can say that it's in the final stages of design (not sure how far lighting is) and once we get some errors fixed dealing with brush count, I think we'll be going public with it. I haven't been involved in this for about a year, I'm just getting back to it now.
@MrWonko I probably will ruin it with lighting! I'm no good at it!

I found it on either Deviant Art or a UDK WIP thread. I am not sure where though. I saved it to my computer for inspiration though.
